Landbouwgrond Met Een Nieuwe Loods

We had the pleasure of providing this brand new dairy unit for a previous local customer of ours. Before working with our customer on their new dairy unit we had supplied them previously with a silage pit, cubicle shed, shuttered tank and a biomass building. The farmer had managed to secure some land on a neighbouring farm which his father had grown up on, so it had great sentimental value to him and gave him the opportunity to expand his current farm.

The customer approached us and told our knowledgeable team his plans for the new land he had enquired. He explained that he wanted to create a brand new dairy unit to house 320 cows, our team looked at different ways that the new space could be maximised and used to its full potential. Between the sales team and our customer the size that was decided on for the shed was 340′ x 116′ x 13′ x with a 4’6″ cantilever and an apex lean to of 180′ x 70′ x 13′. To enable the ventilation to be appropriate for the shed type we designed the roof pitch to be 22.5° instead of the standard 15° we usually quote. The customer also decided to keep in with the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape by altering the colour of the roof and choosing something a little more appropriate.
