Additional Benefits of Steel Warehouses
Sturdy
The structure for steel warehouses is designed and built to withstand high winds and heavy snow loads. The pre-engineered pieces of the building can be put together quickly, but rest assured they don’t come apart easily unless the proper tools are used!
Steel warehouse buildings meet or exceed the building codes for every state, so you know they’re safe.
Safer
Because steel is a non-combustible material, steel warehouse buildings for sale are safer than wooden buildings. In the event of a fire, the steel frame, wall panel and ceiling panels will not burn.
Since the interior contents of the warehouse may be flammable, we do suggest crafting the ceiling of a pre-engineered warehouse or distribution center to bear extra weight so that a building-wide fire sprinkler system can be installed.
Because of steel’s imperviousness to fire, companies often receive lower insurance premiums as well.
Easy Construction
We’ve already mentioned how quickly prefab steel warehouses can be erected, which helps with the affordability of the building when it comes to paying contractors to put the building together.
In addition, the materials that go in to pre-engineered steel warehouse buildings are quick to form, cut and weld, so all building materials can be delivered to the construction site with just a few weeks, which also speeds up the construction time.
The sooner a steel structure warehouse is put together, the sooner it can start being used for its purpose and the sooner the business will see income start to come in.
Low Maintenance
Another benefit that steel has over wood is that steel is not affected by rot, mold or mildew. There’s no need to call out a pest control person every year to spray for them – termites find steel unappetizing.
Commercial grade, galvanized steel also does not rust. Our steel prefabricated warehouse buildings are guaranteed to last for 25 years.
Attractive
Pre-engineered steel warehouse buildings do not have to be utilitarian. We offer PBR wall panels in a variety of colors – Burnished Slate, Evergreen, Aztec Blue, Brick Red, Sagebrush Tan, Fox Grey, Light-Stone or Polar White.
The PBR panels are formed from pre-painted galvanized or Galvalume® roll coils. All PBR panels are subjected to quality tests including physical bend resistance and impact resistance, as well as the hardness, gloss and color of the siliconized polyester paint.
Optional exterior facing materials can be added if desired, from brick to stone to wood, to enhance the attractiveness of the building.
